ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Mass Communication is one of the largest departments in the Faculty of HMSS. It became a fully accredited discipline in 2020 and has one of the best technologically driven media outlets (thus Radio, TV and Photojournalism studios). We explore all opportunities in the theory and practice of mass communication to produce graduates that have global competitive edge. We run both regular and conversion programmes for the award of Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mass Communication.

There are very many career opportunities in Mass Communication. They include: Radio/TV presenter, programme Management, Book Publishing, Film and Multi-media Management, Script Writing, Documentary Production, Data Analyst, Advertising and PR Practice etc.
