Gladys Uche Okafor-Halim Family Scholarship Scheme

Mrs Gladys Uche Okafor-Halim was once a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dominican University. She was instrumental in the launching stage of the University. After her death, the family has sponsored scholarships for students studying Economics and as well for the promotion of media production. According to Dr Nkem Okafor-Abegunde, her beloved daughter, the choice of Economics and Creative Writing and Media Production, as preferred subjects, is linked to the fact that the late Mrs. Gladys Uche Okafor-Halim studied Economics and was a lover of English language and Creative Writing. Two students of Economics have benefitted from their generosity and are forever grateful to the family. This support enabled them to complete their studies with us.

In her memory, her family has now established a scholarship scheme at the University to support students in these areas of study at the Dominican University.
