History
The Department of Physical and Mathematical Sciences is among the pioneer departments of Dominican University. It was established on November 11, 2016. The Computer Science programme is the first and only programme currently in the Department of Physical and Mathematical Science. Four programmes were approved for the Department ab initio, which are: Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, and Computer Science, however, only the Computer Science programme has received enrolment.
The Computer Science programme properly commenced with the enrolment of 3 students in October 2017, a year after the establishment of the Dominican University and the Department. In the second session, the Department received ten students into the Programme and the number has continued to grow. Note that the small class size, makes it possible for all the students to be carried along during lectures.
The Computer Science programme has students in 3 levels only. Our first set of students would graduate in 2021.
