The Service is staffed by a team of qualified and licensed psychologists, counseling psychologists, counselors and therapists. Our Counselors and Psychotherapists are all specialized in serving people from multicultural backgrounds and with a wide variety of personal, academic and work-related challenges; in other words, we attend to clients from different works of life.
Sr Esther AMOWE, DHS
Sr Esther AMOWE, DHS currently works as a counselling Psychologist. She holds a maters degree in Counselling Psychology from the catholic Univeristy of eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya, where she also worked for some time before returning to Nigeria to take up appointment with the Dominican University. She has worked as an Applied Psychologist and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist under supervision at the family Consultation Clinic of The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Luton & Dunstable Hospital, Luton, England, United Kingdom where she gained Practical experiences in Child and adolescent mental Health situation. Additionally, she has attended numerous conferences and workshops focusing on a variety of topics such as trauma, addiction, and marital relationships, stress, human sexuality, Drug, Positive Psychology.
Sr. Esther holds a masters degree in Counselling Psychology from the Catholic Univeristy of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a Bachelors of Science Honours in Applied Psychology from the University of Bedfordshire, Luton, England. She obtained a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from The Institute of Counseling, Glasgow. She further obtained a higher Professional Diploma in in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from The Institute of Counseling, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom; an affiliate of University of Paisley, Scotland, U.K.
Since 2006, her professional experiences have emphasized working with clients challenged by concurrent disorders with UBC Psychiatry as well as individual work with eating disorders, relationship concerns, trauma, anxiety, and depression. She has been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with adults, adolescents, and children, from a wide variety of cultural, socioeconomic and familial backgrounds.
Likewise, she had the chance to work with a variety of psychological concerns, facilitate workshops and seminars in areas of Psychology and Human Development (among Priests, Religious and the laity) and she always looks forward to broadening these even further.
She is also a researcher and publisher of Academic articles in Journals of psychology and counselling.

Mrs. Angela AKPANDARA
Mrs. Angela AKPANDARA is a professional counselor with specialty in children, adolescents and youth mental health. She holds a bachelor degree in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ibadan in 2012 and 2016 respectively.
She worked as the University Counselor at Koladaisi University in 2018-2019 after which she joined the Dominican University till date.
She has attended trainings and conferences and has one publication in an international journal.
She is a professional member of Nigerian Association of Clinical Psychologists (NACP), Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON) Oyo State Chapter, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN).
She is married and blessed with a loving family.
