The Dominican University, Ibadan recently received formal approval from the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Boards (JUPEB) to run preliminary studies. Hence, admission is now open for candidates to apply for this one year foundation programme that would lead to Direct Entry admissions into Nigerian and foreign based Universities in affiliation with JUPEB.

Minimum Entry Qualification
Minimum entry qualification for this programme is five (5) credit passes at O’Level subjects
including English and Mathematics and three other relevant subjects in either WAEC or NECO
at one sitting. And for two sittings six credit passes. Accordingly, candidates do not need to have written JAMB examinations to seek admission into this foundation programme.

1. After an intensive one year JUPEB foundation programme, successful candidates have the
unique opportunity of securing admission by way of Direct Entry into 200 level academic
programmes of their choice either in the Dominican University or any other university affiliated

2. Secondary School leavers can immediately pursue their studies at the tertiary level without
having to wait for the next opportunity to write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations
(UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB).
